Taking place for the second time on 25 and 26 October, ALUMINUM USA will showcase the potential of the American aluminium industry. Following the successful 2015 premiere in Detroit, the trade show is moving to the MUSIC CITY CENTER in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2017. Once again, the Aluminum Association will serve as partner. An extensive supporting programme will enhance the diverse range of goods and services offered by the exhibitors.

Featuring about 200 international exhibitors from the US, Canada and overseas, ALUMINUM USA in October will cover the industry’s varied deployment and growth opportunities. More than 2,000 trade visitors, including decision-makers from aluminium manufacturing and processing, distributors and associations are expected to attend the second ALUMINUM USA trade show.

Nearly 160 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in the show, including key US players and international companies. The list ranges from Wagstaff to Pyrotek and Novelis PAE to Export Quebec. Well-known partners besides the Aluminum Association include Light Metal Age Magazine, the Tennessee Automotive Manufacturers Association (TAMA), ALUFOIL and the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (asi).

Top-notch supporting programme
Professionals from all segments of the aluminium value chain can look forward to a supporting programme that’s as informative as it’s inspiring. One focus, for example, will be on sustainability. In addition, competencies and expertise will be conveyed in workshops, plant tours and lectures. Topics include aluminium packaging, presented by the Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative; the use of aluminium in Ford’s new F-Series truck programme; and the next generation of additive manufacturing.

US aluminium market growing
The US represents the world’s third-largest aluminium market, generating sales of $65 billion and providing more than 160,000 jobs. Aluminium demand in the US and Canada has soared by nearly 40 per cent since 2009 – excellent prospects for international producers and processors. In order to meet the auto industry’s increasing demand for aluminium, Aluminum Association member companies have announced plant investments of $2.3 billion since 2013.

New venue in Nashville metro region
Following the successful premiere in Detroit, ALUMINUM USA is moving to the MUSIC CITY CENTER in Nashville, Tennessee. With General Motors, Nissan North America and Volkswagen Group of America, no fewer than three automakers are located in Nashville and the surrounding region. They’re joined by 1,000 automotive suppliers. More than 100,000 Tennessee residents are employed in car manufacturing.

With the launch of ALUMINUM USA in 2015, Reed Exhibitions, the world’s leading organiser of trade shows and conventions, continues to expand its global operations. ALUMINUM USA joins the ALUMINIUM World Trade Fair in Germany (Düsseldorf) and aluminium shows in China (Shanghai), India (Mumbai), the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and Brazil (São Paulo) as the sixth industry event. The trade show is held in the US every other year.

About the Aluminum Association
The Aluminum Association represents US and foreign companies and their suppliers along the entire value chain – from primary production to intermediate goods to recycling. As the leading voice of the industry, the association supports members with global standards, corporate analyses and sustainability developments. The focus of the US aluminium industry is on the production of sustainable and innovative products, including fuel-efficient vehicles, recyclable packaging, greener buildings and modern electronics.
