India’s biggest industry event to be held in Bhubaneswar from 31 January – 2 February

India is one of the fastest growing aluminium markets. Industry is adding capacities and investing in new technologies to satisfy the rising demand from sectors like transport and construction. ALUMINIUM INDIA 2019 will reflect these market developments. The subcontinent’s biggest event for this sector will be held from 31 January to 2 February in Bhubaneswar, the hub of the Indian aluminium industry. For the first time, the trade fair will be accompanied by the renowned INCAL Conference.

To the tune of 100 exhibitors are expected to feature at ALUMINIUM INDIA 2019. The trade fair covers the complete spectrum from raw materials through processing to finished products for the user industries. The “7th International Conference on Aluminium” (INCAL), organised in parallel by the Aluminium Association of India, will come under the heading of "Making Aluminium ... Driving Growth and Development". A total of 800 aluminium experts are expected to attend INCAL 2019 in order to discuss new technologies, business opportunities, downstream perspectives and new aluminium applications.

“The combination of ALUMINIUM INDIA and INCAL 2019 offers top prerequisites for know-how and technology transfer among international and regional producers, processors and technology vendors,” says Olaf Freier, Event Director for ALUMINIUM at trade fair organiser Reed Exhibitions, and goes on to say: “I am very pleased with the cooperation with the Indian Aluminium Association. Both events are perfectly timed since India’s growing demand for semi-finished goods in the various application industries generates demand for international technology for installing new production sites.”

Indian aluminium industry is growing

With the initiative "Make in India" the Indian government is investing in excess of US$ 1 billion in infrastructure projects. This spending also benefits the aluminium industry because demand for this material continues rising despite cyclical fluctuations. Experts expect demand for aluminium to rise in double-digits over the coming ten years.

The conditions are favourable: India boasts vast deposits of high-quality bauxite ore that account for almost five percent of the world’s reserves. Moreover, all Indian primary aluminium producers operate their own power plants, bauxite mines and alumina refineries – assuring them the lowest manufacturing costs of primary aluminium worldwide.

The most important sectors contributing to Indian aluminium consumption are energy generation, transport, construction/civil engineering and packaging. The growing solar industry, however, will also contribute to future growth for aluminium consumption in India.

About ALUMINIUM INDIA:
