ALUMINIUM is the world's leading trade fair for the aluminium industry. Since its start 1997 the fair has developed to the number one meeting place world-wide. The uniqueness of the show results from the fact, that it represents the entire value chain offering solutions for the aluminium industry and all applications fields.

In comparison to 2006 the number of exhibitors increased by 27%. For the show in 2010 900 exhibitors are expected.

In 2008 around 17000 visitors came to the show. That is an increase of more than 10000 visitors compared to the first show in 1997. For 2010 18000 visitors are expected.

Internationality of exhibitors and visitors
The exhibitors in 2008 came from 45 different nations. About 55% came from abroad.

Main areas of visitors’ interest (also by area of application)
The visitors of ALUMINIUM 2008 were mainly interested in semi-finished products, surface refinement and finished products for special application fields.

These trade visitors were especially interested in solutions of the sectors automotive & transport and building & construction.

- 90% of the exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the last event.
- 85% would recommend attending the fair to others.
Professional status of the visitors
Top decision makers inform themselves about new trends and make decisions about purchases and investments
- 31% of the visitors came to the fair with a firm intention to purchase.
- 68.5% of the visitors placed direct orders during the ALUMINIUM 2008 or planned to do so immediately after the event.
- Among foreign visitors, the figure of those coming to the event with the intention of signing a deal was even 42.6%.
