When is the registration deadline?
There is no registration deadline. The earlier you submit the more choice you have. If you are interested in exhibiting please contact jessica.kristian@reedexpo.de or hilke.dahinten@reedexpo.de.What kind of costs do I have to consider?
A row stand costs €172,- (minimum is 12sqm) plus VAT and additional costs. Here under participation you get to know more about stand costs and have the possibility to calculate the costs of your desired stand.Are there any other participation possibilities?
Segment Pavilion:Special segments are presented at ALUMIMINIUM within the scope of segment pavilions and offer the optimum meeting place within the show with low organizational effort for the participants and maximum output. Here you have the possibility to see, which segment pavilions are going to be at ALUMINIUM 2008.
National Pavilion:
We are able to support companies from abroad through our global network. Our sales representatives in countries like China, USA, France, Italy and Turkey etc. are pleased to service you before and during the show – no matter if you participate within one of the national pavilions or with an individual stand. Here you can see which national pavilion are scheduled for ALUMINIUM 2008.
Is there a possibility to exhibit with a co-exhibitor?
Of course, you have the possibility to participate together with a co-exhibitor to share the costs. Therefore it is necessary to submit one company as the main exhibitor. The registration of the co-exhibitor has to be submitted by the main exhibitor by using this application form of joint exhibitors.What you should know, if you exhibit
Construction and dismantling time
Stand constructionBeginning: Friday, September 19, 2008, 8.00 am. The stand construction must be completed by Monday, September 22, 2008, 5.00pm so that proper cleaning is possible before inauguration.
Stand disassembly
At the completion of the exhibition, it is recommended to remove valuable, sensitive and slightly mobile exhibits from the stand. The general disassembly begins an hour after exhibition end and must be concluded by September 27, 2008, 6.00 pm.
Is there a possibility of an earlier set up?
Earlier set up is bounded to costs and possible from the 16 September 2008. Please remember to register for a earlier set up until 30.06.08. You will find further information in the online-service center.Our company doesn’t own an own stand. Is it possible to rend one?
There is the possibility to order a Business or Economy shell scheme. Further information and prices you will find in the online-service center.Maximum construction height?
All stands with a construction height exceeding 2.50 m are subject to approval. Maximum construction height for the halls 1 - 7 as well as Galeria is 6,00 m (for some areas in Hall 6 and 7 4,50 m). Boundary zone: Stands immediately bordering on a neighboring stand and exceeding a construction height of 2.50 m are required to observe a distance of 3.00m from their own stand boundary line. This requirement can be waived if a written permission from the holder of the neighboring stand is presented. How many exhibitor passes do I get for free?
Depending on the stand size, for every exhibitor a certain amount of exhibitor passes are available. You should order your exhibitor passes by using the corresponding order form in the service manual or in the online-service center.Do I need extra passes during the construction and dismantling days?
No extra passes are necessary during the construction and dismantling days.Where can I check my mails?
There are 3 possibilities to check your e-mails:a. At the fair management office with your own laptop
b. At the entrance West, South and North with your own laptop by using the hot spots
c. At the business centre in the Entrance West and in the Hall 4A
Is there a possibility to rent a meeting room?
You have the possibility to rent rooms at the Congress Centre West (near to hall 3) as well as at the Congress Centre South (near to hall 1). You can rent the rooms on a day-to-day basis (9:00am - 6:00pm) or half day. The size of the rooms is flexible and seats from 18 up to 1060 people. Additional to the presentation of your products and services at your stand, ALUMINIUM offers you further marketing services to make your participation more successful. Unimportant if you choose footsteps, mega posters, a triangular tower or a catalogue bookmark, all these options will separate you from the rest. How can I invite my clients to the fair?
You want to have many visitors at your stand and generate a lot of promising business contacts? Then don’t forget to invite your clients and interested companies to the show. With a personal invitation you can secure that clients are informed about your show participation. This year you have for the first time the possibility to order e-vouchers and invite your clients by e-mail. You will receive a link and log-in numbers which you can forward to your customers and even save postal charges. These as well as printed vouchers you can order with corresponding order form in the online-service center.What is the VIP program, and what are the advantages?
To ensure the most important clients of our exhibitors a smooth and comfortable show visit every exhibitor has the possibility to participate in the VIP program. What is the European Aluminium Award?
The European Aluminium Award is awarded for innovations in the aluminium industry and honors companies for their outstanding achievement. Designer, builders, manufacturers, as well as importers and constructors can now submit their innovations at www.aluminium-award.eu/2008.

How do I get to the trade fair ground?
The fairground in Essen is comfortable to reach with through all kinds of traffic routes.
• by public transport: from the central station Essen subway U11 (7min, stop Gruga for the Entries North and South; stop Messe West for the Main Entrance West)
• From the Airport Düsseldorf by taxi (20 min, ca €30,-) or by Airport Shuttle

How do I get from the airport Düsseldorf to the fair?
a. For exhibitors and visitors of the ALUMINIUM we offer the possibility, to take the Airport-Shuttle to the exhibition centre. The Airport-Shuttle leaves every 30 minutes from 7:45am until 18:45pm at the bus stop 072 in front of the terminal B. Round-trip tickets cost €20,-.
b. Taxi: you will need about 20 minutes to reach the fairground by taxi. (approx. €30)
Where are the parking areas for exhibitors or visitors?
On the fairground you have the possibility to park on the parking lots P9, P5 and P6 A/B/C. Exhibitors have the possibility to order permanent parking tickets from the last construction day to the first dismantling day (22.09-26.09.2008) in the online-service center.
Can you recommend me a hotel?
Here in the Travel Center/Hotel you can find a wide range of hotels and have the possibility to book your hotel accommodation online.
