NEW: Presentation Forum

To treat the topics of casting, welding and primary production in greater depth, the Pavillons partners
  • GDM (General Association of German Metal Foundries) 
  • DVS-Verlag (Publishing house for welding and applied processes) und 
  • GDMB Society for mining, metallurgy, resource and environmental technology)

have drawn up a lecture programme to be presented at the Presentation Forum (hall 6, stand 6F80). The forum is open to all visitors and exhibitors at ALUMINIUM free of charge.

Segment Pavilions

The individual theme pavilions for the segments foundry, surface treatment, primary production, rapid prototyping, welding & joining and tool & mould making are central meeting places for aluminium experts.

National Pavillons

We are able to support companies from abroad though our global network. Our sales representatives in countries like China, USA, France, Italy and Turkey are pleased to service you before and during the show – no matter if you participate within one of the national pavilions or with an individual stand.

Research Forum

This year again research establishments and universities have the possibility to present their up-to-date research projects as well as research results important for the aluminium industry at the RESEARCH FORUM of ALUMINIUM 2008. We offer them the opportunity to contact the industry directly and to showcase their know-how to highly qualified visitors.

NEW: ALU TV

ALU TV will be transmitted twice daily from the fair. The broadcasts, which will include news on the latest trends and developments in the industry, features on important decision makers and live interviews with well-known politicians, will take place in front of an international audience of specialists. A presentation of exhibiting companies can also be included in ALU TV.

Die Casting Competition

The Association of the Aluminium Recycling Idustry (VAR) and the Organisation of European Aluminium Refiners and Remelters (OEA) have once again organised an International Aluminium Pressure Die Casting Competition in 2008. They were supported by the Deutscher Druckgießereien and the Expert Committee for Pressure Die Casting of the Verein Deutscher Gießereifachleute. The aims of the competition are to show the public the high quality standard of aluminium die casting and the wide range of applications of recycled aluminium.
